Abstract: Rapid advancements in sensor technology is pushing us towards a world of connected homes, workplaces, industries and cities.  Enterprise IoT innovations like digital twins in sectors like manufacturing, energy and healthcare has resulted in a push for versatile deep learning techniques to solve a variety of problems across industry verticals. However, several challenges have to be overcome to deploy these models to real world sensor environments. These challenges include limited training data, variation in sensory configurations and sensor fusion, real time compute constraints, compliance to local privacy laws,  model interpretability and seamless incorporation of domain knowledge to name a few. In this talk, I will narrate how we met these challenges while developing iSense, a deep learning based IoT platform from TCS Research which imbibes techniques for machine health estimation, anomaly detection, privacy preserving deep learning, change detection and black-box optimization for industrial processes.
