A Google form was circulated in social media starting from August 8 th , 2020. There was an overwhelming response and the registrations count crossed 200 in a very short span. The webinar was conducted on 10th August,2020 and was attended by more than 190 participants consisting of both faculty and students. The session was extremely informative and interactive with the speaker, Dr. Chandrasekhar. The speaker has started the presentation with the details of current power production capacities across various states of India in the form of Solar, Hydro, Nuclear and Thermal energies.He has stated several problems in the current Power System implementations and has proposed proper planning aspects in order to achieve the target.He has explained about the aspects of Power System operation according to a Time-Horizon perspective. The Power System Reliability Analysis has been explained starting with the Electricity demand forecasting and planning the generation accordingly. Also, mentioned about various production cost models and their applicability.Finally, he has discussed the Renewable Energy management system and the tools to implement the system.
