8051 Simulation using Proteus

On 20th September 2020 (Sunday), IEEE DDU SB conducted a webinar on 8051 simulations using Proteus. The webinar was conducted by Minu Chaudhary, of the 7th semester.

Minu started the session with the introduction of proteus and its various libraries which would be useful for project development. The attendees were given insights on the programming in Keil for different applications, which was followed by implementing the circuit in the Proteus. The importing of code from Keil and simulation of the circuit in Proteus was shown in depth. Minu then presented a live demo of the LED blinking project.

Almost 73 students attended the session, the period was of two hours (10:00 am-12:00 Noon). Minu also shared insights about one of her projects she undertook based on Logic Gate IC Fault Detection using 8051.  She explained in detail the code used, circuit design, and its working.

She then motivated the attendees to start working on such projects as this kind of skill is important for an aspiring engineer and while working on these kinds of projects, they can discover and explore their interests and utilize their time instead of wasting it. In the end, there was a question and answer round where questions of attendees were answered by Minu.

The attendees found the session very useful and interesting as it was something apart from the college curriculum.
