IEEE DAY SPECIAL LECTURE on ELECTRIC CIRCUITS
Title: INTRODUCTION TO SIGNAL WAVEFORMS AND IMPEDANCE CONCEPTS
The IEEE Day Special Lecture on Electric Circuits is organized, by the IEEE Indonesia SSIT Chapter, in collaboration with the CASS Chapter and supported by the IEEE ITENAS Student Branch. It is also prepared to commemorate the IEEE Day, and to be dedicated for undergraduate students in Electrical Engineering and the related fields.
The lecture is entitled “Introduction to Signal Waveforms and Impedance Concepts” and the Lecturer (speaker) will be Prof. Dr. Soegijardjo Soegijoko (SSIT Chapter Chair).
To start the IEEE Day event, an introductory information on the IEEE, societies within the IEEE, some activities, and benefits to students, will be first presented.
Then, the following main topics of the special lecture are: Introduction, Signal Waveforms, Exponentials and Equations, Exponential Voltages & Currents, Impedance Concepts, and Problem Examples.
A Question and Answer session has been prepared, before closing the event.

INTRODUCTION TO SIGNAL WAVEFORMS AND IMPEDANCE CONCEPTS

Biography:
Soegijardjo Soegijoko (born in Yogyakarta, 1942) earned his Engineer Degree in Telecommunication Engineering from the Department of Electrical Engineering, Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Indonesia, in 1964. Moreover, he has also completed a number of non-degree and post-doctoral programs, such as: tertiary education (UNSW, 1970), VLSI Design (Stanford University – 1986; UNSW- 1991; Tokyo Institute of Technology-1984, 1985, 1990).
Since 1966, he joined Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB, Bandung, Indonesia) as a teaching staff at the Department of Electrical Engineering, (currently School of Electrical Engineering & Informatics) ITB, and appointed as a Professor on Biomedical Engineering in 1998.
Although he has been officially retired since 2007, he has appointed as an adjunct Professor. At present, he is an adjunct Professor on Biomedical Engineering at ITB, as well as at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Institut Teknologi Nasional Bandung (Indonesia). His current research interests include: Biomedical Engineering Instrumentation, e-Health &Telemedicine Systems, and Biomedical Engineering Education.
He has published more than 100 international papers in the above mentioned research interests. Moreover, he (and his colleagues) have also authored five book chapters published by Jimoondang (Korea, 2008), Springer (Singapore, 2014), CRC Press – Taylor Francis (2016), and Springer (2017).
Currently, he actively involves in various societies within the IEEE that include: EMBS, SSIT, CASS, Computer, SIGHT and Education. His organization experience with IEEE includes serving as: section officer, student branch counselor/volunteer, chapter chairs and conference organizer. He is currently the IEEE Indonesia SSIT Chapter Chair, EMBS Chapter Chair and actively involves as the Chair (Head) of the Indonesian eHealth & Telemedicine Society (IeHTS), as well as the Indonesian Biomedical Engineering Society (IBES).
