Kick-off meeting of the newly elected EMC-S PL Management Board - definition of an action plan for the 2020-2022 term
Participants: Krzysztof Sieczkarek - Chapter Chair IEEE EMC-S PL, Miroslaw Zielenkiewicz - Vice Chair / Secretary / Treasurer IEEE EMC-S PL
1. Adoption and specification of the President's pre-election declarations as a framework program for the activities of the new EMC-S PL Management Board in the 2020-2022 term:

Program assumptions of the Management Board of the Polish branch of IEEE EMC-S (2020-2022):
a) spreading knowledge and engineering ideas in the field of electromagnetic compatibility in order to increase the reliability and safety of electrical and electronic technical solutions used by and for the benefit of society, industry and public administration institutions,
b) activities integrating the Polish EMC communities, both scientific and research staff and industry representatives,
c) creating a "LIVE" EMC-S PL website activating the EMC environment in Poland, addressed to a wide range of specialists - not only to members of IEEE EMC-S PL
d) creating publicly available databases (as part of the EMC-S PL website):
- Polish EMC laboratories, detailing their measurement potential and the scope of their accreditation, detailing testing methods,
- universities whose teaching and research programs include EMC topics, detailing the scope of academic didactics,
- research institutes relates to and
- offers of production companies for measuring instruments, materials, elements and devices used in EMC solutions,
- offers of service and training companies operating in the field of EMC (improvement of device design in terms of EMC, field measurements of EM fields, ESD protection, shielded objects, installations and systems of comprehensive lightning and surge protection, including LEMP shielding, open and dedicated, legal and formal advice - EU directives, CE marking, etc.),
e) activities encouraging new members to join the ranks of IEEE EMC-S PL, with particular emphasis on popularizing IEEE EMC-S activities among young engineering and student staff, by increasing emphasis on the practical aspects of EMC assessment and the correct design of electronic devices and systems for use in professional activity.
2. Discussion on the legal, statutory and financial aspects of EMC-S PL operation within the framework of IEEE and IEEE EMC - establishing basic regulatory documents and reading them.
3. Deciding to start intensive operations immediately due to: the near end of the annual reporting period (December 31, 2020), the inefficient EMC-S PL activities in the period January - July 2020 and the holding of elections to EMC-S PL only in July 2020, the necessity to carrying out at least 2 technical events a year in accordance with the statute of IEEE EMC-S PL.
