Dear Ieee members:

As we promised that we will start cognitio talks in October, here we are:

What is the topic?

"Coaching young startups and entrepreneurs toward success”

The focus of this talk would be on the problems and obstacles that usually stop entrepreneurs, especially the students, to go forward and establish their startups.

It talks about the startup ecosystem in Canada and North America in general and how you can find your way to this ecosystem and use the resources available.

At the end of this talk a successful student startup will join us and you can ask your questions from these young successful entrepreneurs.

-When?

25 October, 1pm est time (or 10am pst)

-Who can attend?

We open the registration for all Ieee members, students and non students in Canada and USA.

But as it is a virtual event, non Ieee members are also allowed to join.

-Who is the speaker?

Ilias Benjelloun runs MTLNewTech, the largest volunteer driven tech startup non profit in Canada for the last 10 years, and is in charge of the Open Innovation Strategy at Desjardins. He is recognized for empowering organizations, startups, and tech communities alike to have a more symbiotic relationship to deliver fair, respectful and meaningful open innovations benefiting society.

We also have invited 2 startup founders:

Sonia Israel, the co-founder, holds a BSc in Neuroscience from McGill University, where she previously founded an award-winning neurotechnology group that eventually gave rise to Aifred Health. Aifred Health is a Montreal-based healthtech startup that helps physicians make better treatment decisions in mental healthcare. Starting with depression, Aifred’s clinical applications offer guidance and analytics for doctors to enable patients to get better, faster.

Phil Barrar, Founder and CEO, Moka Phil Barrar is on a mission of financial inclusion to help people achieve their financial goals as current Founder and CEO of Moka. He is a successful entrepreneur, angel investor, startup advisor, and FinTech expert.

But...

This is not the only exciting part, though covid kicked all of us out of the real world and networking doesn't seem like a fit in the virtual words, we tried our best to bring you a slightly different experience.

At the end of our event, we will have a networking session, each 6 minutes the system randomly will connect 2 person together and you have time to talk and know each other.

So, prepare your yourself (and also prepare some hot chocolate and cookie to hype you up during the networking)

Don't miss this event!
