Dr Nishant Kumar of National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore.

Biography:

Dr Nishant Kumar is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, in the Department of Electrical
and Computer Engineering at National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore.
There his area of research is cybersecurity, for Smart-grid & Microgrids. He has
completed PhD from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi India, in the department
of electrical engineering, where he has worked on ‘Development of Intelligent
Maximum Power Point Tracking Techniques and Robust Control Algorithms for
Grid Integrated Solar PV Energy Conversion System’. Those works have published
in worlds renowned journals such as 20 papers in IEEE transactions, 6 papers in IET
journals, as well as 5- Indian patents have filed. Moreover, his PhD thesis has
awarded to the best thesis award - 2020, 1st Prize in IEEE IAS (Industry
Applications Society) Thesis Contest 2020 (PhD Category). Moreover, his PhD
thesis has also awarded to the best thesis award - 2019 in Indian Institute of
Technology Delhi India, as well as he has received POSOCO Power System Indian
National Award in Doctoral Category. He has completed his M.Tech from National
Institute of Technology Durgapur India, where the university had awarded his
research work to the “Gold Medal”. In between, his M.Tech and PhD degree, he has
worked as the Project Engineer and Research Associate at IIT Bombay and IIT
Delhi. He had completed the bachelor degree (B.Tech) from Silicon Institute of
Technology Bhubaneswar India, where he had awarded to the best Technical student
award. Recently, he has felicitated by IEEE to the ‘IEEE Senior Member’, and by
the DST, Govt. of India to Young Scientist Award, to represent India in 5th BRICS
2020 Young Scientist Conclave, which held in Russia. He has more than 50
publications, including international collaborations, such as Imperial College
London, University of Strathclyde, Scotland, University of Warwick, UK etc.
