A technical seminar on machine learning, specifically transfer learning and its significance in real world applications, will be delivered by Randima Hettiarachchi via Zoom. 

Randima Hettiarachchi is a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Laivly, a division of 24-7 Intouch, delivering innovative and cutting edge AI solutions for robotic process automation of customer services behind some of the world’s biggest brands. Prior to Laivly, Randima gained several years of R&D experience in the industry in machine learning, deep learning and computer vision by developing AI solutions for a wide range of business applications in Agriculture, Medical, Financial and Manufacturing sectors. Randima graduated from University of Manitoba with a PhD in Computer Engineering specializing in Artificial Intelligence in 2016. She is also a former Vice Chair of IEEE WIE Winnipeg section in 2016/2017. With her experience, Randima is passionate about developing tomorrow’s advances in AI and also empowering women in tech.
