You’re likely familiar with Wolfram Alpha, but you may be unfamiliar with its ”big brother”: the much more capable Mathematica. Join and learn about the usefulness of this software for making math less tedious, from solving differential equations to making interactive plots. This short introduction assumes no prior knowledge of Mathematica, but you should have the software ready to run to get the most out of this hands-on workshop.

Biography:
Ville Tiukuvaara Ville was born in Finland but immigrated to Canada at a young age. He is now completing his M.A.Sc. with a research focus on tunable metasurfaces. Having worked on RFIC design for wireless communications at Skyworks (2017-2018) and held an NSERC USRA position while working with the Nonlinear Photonics Group at INRS (2016), he has broad range of experiences.
