Biography:
Helen Godfrey graduated with my Master of Arts in Counseling in 2000 from the University of San Diego and has been in the career services field ever since. She started her career at Florida International University in Miami, FL as the Campus Recruiting Coordinator and worked up to the role of Associate Director of the Engineering Career Center. She has been at the University of Houston since 2009. Helen started as the Internship and Pre-Law Counselor, and, after a competitive process, was selected as the Associate Director of University Career Services where she managed the counseling team and counseling interns. In 2014, she applied and was invited to interview at the C.T. Bauer College of Business for a Sr. Career Development Specialist role on the MBA team where she is currently employed. Helen offers customized career counseling services for Bauer MBA/MS students including career path/career assessment (Birkman and CareerLeader), resume critiques, interviewing skills, and salary negotiation.
She is a Board Certified Coach (BBC), National Board Certified Counselor (NCC) and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas and the owner of http://www.theauthenticpath.com where she offers virtual career and life coaching as well as therapy for anxiety, depression, stress and life transitions for private pay clients.
