Ahmed Azuad Yaseer Arjya
IEEE CS Richard E Merwin Student Scholarship
Biography:
Ahmad Azuad Yaseer is a final year B.Sc student from the Department of Electrical and Electronic
Engineering, Islamic University of Technology. He is currently fulfilling his duty as the Chairperson of IEEE
IUT Student Branch and the Chief Coordinator of IEEE Computer Society Bangladesh Chapter Team
SPARK. Since 2018, he is an active volunteer of IEEE. He was an ambassador of different local and
international IEEE events such as SPAC 2018, SPAVe 2018, IEEE BDC SYWMC 2018, IEEE IAS
Humanitarian Project Contest 2019, PES Day 2019, PES Zero Hunger Day 2019, IEEEmadC 2019, IMaRC
2019 and many more. He has received the "Outstanding Ambassador Award" by IEEE Bangladesh
Section in 2018 and the "IEEE Computer Society Bangladesh Chapter's Award for Volunteer Excellence"
in 2019. Later on, he achieved the prestigious "Richard E. Merwin Student Scholarship" from IEEE
Computer Society and received the opportunity to be "Region 10 Student Ambassador". He has also
represented Bangladesh as an "Outreach Ambassador" of IEEE-TEMS India. Mr. Yaseer is currently
leading the student body of IEEE Computer Society Bangladesh Chapter and promoting IEEE as a "Brand
Ambassador".
Indhumati Gunasekaran
IEEE WIE Inspiring Student Member Award
Biography:
Ms. Indhumathi Gunasekaran is an Associate Software Engineer at Accenture,India. She did
her Electronics and Communication Engineering student at Panimalar Institute of Technology,
Chennai, India. She is currently serving in the roles of Regional Student ambassador of R10,
Section lead of IEEEXtreme 14.0, member of PELS Students Sub-committee, Member of PELS
WIE, Founding Chair of Nuclear and Plasma Sciences society and IEEE Brand Ambassador of
the Student Branch. She served as the Student Chapter Ambassador of Power and Energy
Society, Chairperson of Computer Society chapter of IEEE Panimalar Institute of Technology
Student Branch & Vice-Chairperson of IEEE PIT SB. Indhumathi was previously the IEEE
Student Branch Secretary and Chairman of Women in Engineering Society of the Student
Branch. Indhu has won IEEE Women in Engineering Inspiring Student Member Award (2020),
Richard E Merwin Scholarship, Upsilon Pi Epsilon Scholarship, Grace Hopper Celebration India
Scholarship in recognition of her outstanding academic, professional and leadership
accomplishments.
Acknowledging her achievements she has been awarded as the "outstanding student
award 2020" , "EMERGING STUDENT VOLUNTEER” award for the year 2018 and "the best
student of the year 2018" by ISTE TN Section level in their 18th Annual Convention. Not just in
IEEE but she has also proved herself in academics with outstanding performance. She secured
the first rank in her department during the university examinations for several academic years.
She has been an active participant, volunteer and has coordinated and organised many
co-curricular and extracurricular activities. She has been and will always be a source of
inspiration for upcoming minds.
She has a been a kind person in helping new minds for their development. In her spare time,
she founded and served as organizing secretary for She-the coder and initiated the school
education program. Her determination and courage has made her to do many achievements
making her as remarkable person.
