Career Counseling
The virtual career counseling event was organized for school students to give them insight about the career and what they can do to improve it. Career Counselling helps students to recognize their strengths and weaknesses relating to their present profession and future perspective.
In India, career counseling starts only after the culmination of schooling and the students often awake abruptly after their fun-filled school life gets over for which they are hardly prepared. Although the school-going students are quite young, inexperienced and novices to make the right decision, they need proper guidance, counseling, advice, vocational training, encouragement, and orientation. Considering this earnest problem, IEEE WIE AG DS organized the virtual event for school students in collaboration with IEEE Delhi Section. The event was held on October 11, 2020, at Youtube Live with more than 500 participants.
The first speaker was Mr. Vinay Kumar Tolambia, Co-Founder and, Director (Operations) Strategies & Training Management at ResourceMe. Mr. Vinay gave a motivational talk on Goal setting, belief system and life balancing. An online quiz was also organized in between the session for students from 12:30 pm to 01:00 pm. The second speaker was Ms. Deepshikha, a Business (Brand) Associate/HRBP and Communications Specialist at Tech Mahindra. She guided and enlightened students on the general overview of the career. The third speaker was Punyasloka Panda, Lead Coordinator for Youth for Sustainability India. He enlightened the students on the Intersectionality of Liberal Sciences and how engineering studies and technology can be combined with other sciences to drive towards a bright future.
The event successfully ended with a Q/A round. The participants were able to interact with all speakers and ask questions. The zeal and enthusiasm of the event were noteworthy. The event turned out to be a great success and the participants were grateful to all speakers for their insight, knowledge, and time.

1. Mr. Vinay Kumar Tolambia
He's Co-Founder and, Director (Operations) Strategies & Training Management at ResourceMe. He is an Assistant Director (Communications) at the Indian Institute of Governance and Leadership. He is a mechanical engineer by profession and a master mentor, NLP life coach, energy and growth catalyst, activist, and personality sculptor. Besides this, he is a motivational and inspirational speaker. He gave a motivational talk on Goal setting, belief system, and life balancing.
Ms. Deepshikha and Mr. Punyasloka Panda
1. Ms. Deepshikha
She is a Business (Brand) Associate/HRBP and Communications Specialist at Tech Mahindra. An active public speaker for platforms like Tedx, Josh talks, etc. Apart from this, she is a Goodreads certified author and a motivational speaker who delivers guest lectures in schools and colleges on topics like Content writing, Digital Marketing, Softskills, Management training, Storytelling, Effective Business Communications, etc.
2. Mr. Punyasloka Panda
He is a Lead Coordinator for Youth for Sustainability India, an SDG professional and youth activist for Environment. A certified career counselor and a career coach by iDreamCareer and Mindler. His startup Blueyard helps students across all ages in aligning their interests with their academics to find #DoWhatTheyLove.
