A workshop on the topic “Cyber Crime Awareness Programme for Women” was organized by GLA University in association with IEEE women in Engineering. The workshop focused on objectification, gender role, emotional deviations in young women. The workshop discussion also emphasized on the issue of Cyber Crimes is emerging as a big challenge for Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) around the world and India is no exception. With its growing economy, huge IT industry, increasing roll out of e-Governance and online applications and burgeoning tech-savvy generation of citizens – all are very attractive for organized cyber criminals to target India and its citizens.

Dr. Charul Bhatnagar is a Professor in dept. of Computer Engineering & Applications, she is also serving as presiding officer of internal complaints committee. She received her PhD in Computer Science from Banasthali Vidyapith, Rajasthan in theory of computation. She is having more than 17 years of teaching experience; she has published various research papers in national & international journals. She is a life time member of CSI.

Mr. Saurabh Anand is Assistant Professor in Department of Computer Engineering & Applications, GLA University, Mathura. He is currently serving as a Program Coordinator for the IBM Program such as Cloud Computing, Internet of things, Data Analytics, Cyber security & forensics and Artificial intelligence & Machine Learning. He manages more than 500 students across various specializations in B. Tech. CSE in collaboration with IBM world’s No. 1 IT Company. He has 10+ years of teaching & research experience. He has published various research papers in national & international journals
