Self-driving cars, social impacts, economic motivation, and sensor fusion challenges
Abstract: This talk will discuss self-driving car technology and related sensor fusion methods and challenges. The talk will start by discussing the social impacts and economic motivations of self-driving cars. Following that, the common sensors technologies used for autonomous car navigation will be discussed, demonstrating the pros and cons of each sensor technology. The talk will then discuss the concept of sensor fusion with examples of fusing information from Radar, Camera, and inertial sensors.
