AutoCAD is a useful software in most engineering firms. Whether you want to draft a 2D Schematic, or have a 3D site layout planned, it is all possible through the advanced features of AutoCAD. Not only does it help you brush up your technical and creative skills, but also helps you understand the core aspects of it and how it relates to all the different disciplines of engineering.

The University of Alberta IEEE Student Branch is hosting a webinar on 2D AutoCAD in just a few days! The webinar will provide an Introduction to AutoCAD, how to draft 2D schematics, techniques on using its functions, and many other basic tips and tricks to navigate through the software and get you started.

Mahnoor Zia - Co Chair of University of Alberta IEEE Student Branch

Biography:

Mahnoor is a motivated fourth-year Electrical Engineering student at the University of Alberta and also the Co-Chair of the IEEE Student Branch at the University for the year 2020-2021. Throughout her degree, she has been passionate about the various areas of her discipline along with helping out other students academically. As the Co-Chair of the Student Branch, her main goal is to hold events for the student community that help them in their career, while also sharing the benefits of IEEE membership that help students network with professionals across the IEEE society.

She has been using AutoCAD for the past 2 years for all her work projects and has learned a lot of tips that she will bring to you through the Webinar!
