"Fine Print"

  • The webinar is free for active IEEE members. 
  • There is a $5 registration fee for people who are not active IEEE members.
    • The fee must be paid in advance through the registration process below (credit card through PayPal) in order to receive the link to the webinar.
    • Upon successful payment of the fee, you will receive 2 emails: one from noreply_vtools@ieee.org with title "IEEE vTools Reservation Confirmation," and a second from service@intl.paypal.com with title "Your payment to The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc." Both emails are required to ensure your payment was successfully processed.
    • Incomplete non-member registrations (payment not received) will be deleted.

Kevin Hui, CEng, MIET, from GE Power Conversion

Biography:

After finishing degree in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering at Strathclyde University, started at GE Alsthom Large Machine ltd in 1996 as a graduate. Have been through the numerous company name changes upto the present day, as GE  Power Conversion, so 24 years service so far. During that time, have been involved in the design of most electrical machines from induction motors, synchronous motors  and synchronous generators. Career highlights include being part of the team  in the design of the Advanced Induction Motor (AIM), which is used on Naval projects for the UK Navy and US Navy. Current position is Lead Application Engineer, involved in the tendering and proposal side of the business.
