IEEE DAY Celebrations - ONLINE PPT CONTEST

It is as said “Tell me-I’ll forget, Teach me-I’ll remember, Involve me-I’ll learn”.

In view of this, our college celebrated IEEE DAY on 6^th of  October2020,in which online PPT CONTEST was held, organized by IEEE student branch.

Dr. T.KALPALATHA REDDY mam, Principal of SRI VENKATESWARA ENGINEERING COLLEGE, Tirupati, and Dr. Sunitha Reddy, Professor of H&S dept. and Dr. Sudhakar Reddy, Professor of H&S dept. were invited to witness the knowledge shared among the participants and to fill the virtual dais with inspiration.

The programme took off at 11.20 am with the Student Chair, Ms. Himaja Vottikonda and Ms. K. L. V. S.  Pranathi, picturizing the importance of IEEE DAY and its significance in illuminating techno brains all through the world.

Followed by the words of motivation by Dr. Kalpalatha Reddy mam, who notified the benefits of the IEEE membership, gave suggestions for further strengthening of the student activities, by enlightening us with the importance of excellence in all Technical, Technological and Communication skills and how the day, encouraged young minds to bloom in the above fields. She stood support for the development of Student Branch and its success with her invaluable suggestions and wished luck for the participants.

Dr. Sunitha Reddy and Dr. Sudhakar Reddy received the honor of being the judges of PPT CONTEST and spread the words of sportive competition and optimism among the contestants.

The PPT CONTEST started around 12 noon, in which 14 selected participants, among 30 registered participants show cased their awareness in contemporary technology and presented their PPTs in EMERGING TRENDS IN SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY. Each of them has been a New-Learning quarter hour, with questions and suggestions shooting from audience and judges to the contestants.

The titles chosen are as follows :

After the 14 successful presentations, the top 2 best presentations were announced by the judges in which :

K V Sai Venu Madhavi of III ECE, SVEC – for presentation on Neuralink and K. Jashmitha Sai of III CSE, SVEC – for presentation on Big Data, top the table with 1^st Prize.

While, G. Yasaswini of III ECE, SVEC – for presenting Cognitive Technology and M S Bhargavi of III EEE, SVEC – for presenting Development Of Contactless Hand Sanitizer, walk away with 2^nd prize.

The whole event was directed through the online mode with the help of our faculty members (Mr. Chandra Sekhar Rao and Mr. C. Raju) and Organizers.The programme ended around 1:50 pm, as Ms. K.V. Sai Venu Madhavi presents a token of gratitude to the judges, faculty, participants and audience for making the event a grand success.
