IEEE SPS Summer School 2020 is being organized by VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology in association with IEEE Hyderabad Section, IEEE Signal Processing Society and IEEE WIE AG Hyderabad Section during 28th -31st December, 2020.

The Internet of Thing (IoT) has numerous applications in healthcare—from remote monitoring and assistive technologies to smart sensors in wearables and medical device integration. It has the potential not only to keep patients safe and healthy but also to improve the capability of physicians as well and even to create new possibilities for healthcare delivery. The availability of future 5G networks and connected systems will enable new forms of remote, real-time interaction—the so-called "Tactile Internet"—that will allow medical doctors to provide their skills and expertise even in remote areas, from traditional healthcare and assistance points of delivery.

In this summer school, the instructors will cover the topics of Biomedical Signal Processing and Healthcare IoT applications, presenting the most recent advances of research in these fields, and providing the attendees with the necessary skills to address the future challenges related to biomedical engineering and healthcare.
