On November 3rd, IEEE-USA held a ZOOM presentation called "So You Want to be a Consultant?".   It included a Power Point Presentation developed and presented by Larry Nelson, past chair of the ACIN (Alliance of IEEE Consultants Networks) and a senior member of Boston area Consultant's Networks who has been consulting since at least 1980. 

The West Michigan Consultants (WMCN) network in partnership with the West MI Section IEEE and its Life Member Affinity Group is going to hold our own ZOOM version of "Introduction to Consulting" on Wednesday December 16th.  We will include a shortened version of Larry's power point presentation as part of our event and also show a brand new video from IEEE-USA on the results of IEEE's recent Consultant's Survey. The latter includes rates vs degree, years consulting, region, technical area, etc..  If you have been thinking about exploring the world of consulting even part time as a retiree, or if you currently actively consult, please join us on the 16th at 7:30pm for what we hope will be an interesting evening of discussion on the topic.  We will say a few introductory words, run the two presentations, and then open up the floor to Q&A and discussion of any consulting topics of interest to the attendees.  Here are the ZOOM particulars:
