Power Distribution Grid Resilience: Outage Data Analytics and Optimal Service Restoration
This talk will introduce resilience fundamentals, outage data analytics, and service restoration in power distribution grids. We will begin the webinar by introducing definitions and evaluation metrics of resilience. Then we will study a real outage dataset obtained from one US utility. Some simple data analysis will be performed to extract useful information from the dataset. Finally, we will introduce how to apply advanced optimization to accelerate service restoration of massive outages caused by extreme events.
