IEEE ComSoc SBC UKFCET in association with IEEE ComSoc Kerala Chapter had organized an interesting interactive session on the topic ‘Prepare yourself for a career in AI’ as a part of Tekkutōku in December 12th from7:00pm to 8:00pm on the zoom meetings platform. The panelists were Ms. Soulgy Jose, AI Specialist at Artificial Intelligence Strategy & Development, Querlo, and Mr. Karan Pathak, Founder of Data Turtles & AI Researcher. The moderator was Mr. Shankar Jayaraj, AP (ECE) of UKFCET & SDLP Coordinator of IEEE Kerala Section. It had 3 sessions and in the first part of the session, Mr. Karan Pathak explained the pathway of his life experiences and key factors that helped to succeed in the world of AI, and Ms. Soulgy Jose shared about the right mentality throughout the complicated pathway to attain her success.During their second part of the session, Mr. Karan Pathak shared about computer language task, how he started ‘Data Turtles’, how to start python learning, natural language processing, AutoCAD, and also about having a good guide and Ms. Soulgy explained about different ways and areas in AI, AI in future, how can we start a career in AI, etc. After that at the third and final session, students shot their questions to both of them and cleared their doubts. The event was mainly focusing on the direct interaction with the student and the domain experts so that students could ask their questions directly to them and cleared their doubts. Totally the event becomes more interactive and useful to the attendees who had an aim to start a career in the field of AI. The event was filled with the active participation of members from different sections. IEEE members as well as NON-IEEE members have also participated. Around 88 students joined in this session and also the participant’s reaction was very gratifying.
