Sponsored by the IEEE Alaska Section -

DEADLINE EXTENDED until Tuesday 2/9 6:00 PM

Alaska and fifteen other states and the Municipality of Anchorage currently using the 2017 NEC have commenced the process of revising the statute or administrative rules through which the NEC is updated to reference the 2020 edition.

Do you want to avoid a lawsuit because you don't know about changes to the latest iteration of the National Electrical Code?  If your answer to this question is, "YES," you should sign up for this class to get updated. If your answer is, "NO," or you don't care, you should sign up anyway because this class comes with 16 Continuing Eduation Hours that can be applied toward your Professional Engineering, Electrical Administrator and Journeyman licensure or certification's education requirements.    If the need for continuing education does not apply to you and you are in any position to deal with the National Electrical Code, you should still sign-up and attend.

Here are some reasons why you should sign up:

1) Improve your understanding of the NEC® changes in this web-based seminar featuring an in-depth discussion of the major code changes and a behind-the-scenes look at why the changes were made. This knowledge will dramatically improve the usability of this document to help you get the job done quickly and accurately.

2) Find out how to locate and apply the 2020 NEC® changes and increase your electrical expertise!

3) The new 2020 National Electrical Code® contains significant changes impacting how you do your job. This seminar will quickly boost the usability of the new code by helping you understand how to locate and implement the code changes.

4) The instructor has a well-deserved reputation for his knowledge of the various codes and standards, and he "knows where the bodies are buried," so to speak. Mr. Stallcup is familiar with some of the unique aspects of Alaska through your questions at previous classes.  If you have a question about the NEC or its application, you can expect to get a good answer if you ask him.

5) This course materials includes a copy Stallcup's illustrated Code Changes workbook and a 2020 NEC® code book.

Frequently Asked Questions:

I signed up last year for the cancelled class, do I need to reregister?  Yes, individual registration is required for this seminar independent of last years cancelled class.  Refunds for all funds collected were made last year.

Payment could be made at time of the event last year, why not now?  With having to mail materials early to all of the attendees and no physical location to collect for the training, this is not an option this year.

* I already have a 2020 NEC book, can I get a discount and not receive the book?  Packing of the materials has been standardized and cannot separate the code book.  Please share the book with someone who could not attend the class.

* vTools Registration allows additional guests, can I submit with names to be completed later?  A member or non-member name and complete  information for each additional registrations is required at time of registration. See next question for changing registrations.

If you need to substitute for a like registration, please do so prior to February 4 by email akchair@ieee.org with name changing and new name, IEEE member number (if applicable), email and address information.

* What if I need to cancel after registering?  If you cancel your registration by 2/3/2021, we will refund your registration minus $150.    Cancelation after 2/3/2021 is not refundable but you can transfer your registration to another person.

* How will we get the NEC Code Book and workbook?  They will be mailed via USPS priority mail on Monday, 2/8/2021 to the address that you provide at registration.
