Quality Manifestations in Geospatial Data Products
Geospatial Data Products are defined as combination(s) of (1) remotely sensed raster image(s); or, (2) vector overlays of ground surveyed information; or (3) derived information in the form of text, tabular data and/or graphical plots; appended with necessary annotations and other metadata. This talk would discuss quality manifestations in such products under eight broad categories with 31 finer categories according to the ISO/IEC SQuaRE Standard: 25010:2011.

Biography:
Dr. R. Nandakumar is an alumnus of IIT, Madras and holds both his post-graduate and doctoral degree in Mathematics from this Institute. He graduated from Madras University in 1977. I His doctoral thesis is on distance related concepts in Graphs. He was a geospatial data scientist and a software quality engineer for more than three decades with the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and contributed significantly to the success of Indian Remote sensing Satellite projects from the first operational satellite IRS-1A onwards till his superannuation in the year 2016 which includes ISRO’s first Moon and Mars missions. He is currently a free-lance researcher and a consultant on software quality. Dr Nandakumar is a member of several professional societies including ACM, CSI, IMS, INCA, ISG and ISRS
