We start with an overview of UL 508A – Industrial Control Panels.  We will cover Enclosures, Power Circuits, Control Circuits, Markings and an overview of specific types of Panels.  We will go through the highlights of becoming an Industrial Control Panel shop and explain the process.  We will also explain the Field Evaluation program – what is it, why do we have it, when is it applicable?

Bruce Proper

Bruce is Chief Technical Officer and Vice President of Engineering for Product Safety Consulting, Inc.  He has over 40 years of compliance and Certifications work evaluating a wide variety of product categories and taking on various management roles during his long career.  Bruce is truly a Jack of All, Master of many having worked in Industrial Controls, Machinery, Commercial Cooking, Household and Commercial Appliances, Lighting, Medical, Robots, years of Field Evaluation experience.  Bruce has is a BS Degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Wisconsin and Management Certificate from Loyola University Chicago Management Program.  Bruce brings a fresh way of understanding the complexities of Certifications.
