Biography:
Athira P Vijayaraghavan hold an M.Tech. degree in Information Security and Cyber Forensics from SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai, India, and a B.Tech. degree in Information Technology from Calicut University, Kerala, India. currently work at Acalvio Technologies, Bengaluru, Karnataka, as a member of technical staff; where she is responsible for doing malware analysis, and cutting-edge R&D in cyber threat intelligence. Prior to joining Acalvio she worked as a Research Associate at Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management, Kerala, India. During her two and a half year tenure at IIIT, she co-authored and published a book titled 'Machine Learning Approaches in Cyber Security Analytics' with Springer and presented a research paper titled “On Effectiveness of Source Code and SSL Based Features for Phishing Website Detection” at IEEE conference. Her research interests include autonomous deception for malware detection, threat intelligence analysis, malware analysis, attack to Mitre mapping and cyber threat prediction. She have conducted seminars on “Information Security Awareness”; to create cognizance among college students on the importance of information security and the necessity to understand cyberbullies and criminals. She have also handled sessions on Machine learning and penetration testing for postgraduate students. Athira P Vijayaraghavan also a research volunteer with the Ransomware School at Kerala Police CYBERDOME, which mainly involves developing products for Kerala Police to curb threats.
