Dr. Asha Parekh will share her story as a successful entrepreneur in the field of biomedical engineering. She will discuss her path from graduate studies at the University of Western to becoming the founder and CEO of Front Line Medical Inc. She will touch on the differences between academia and industry and provide tips on how to overcome challenges on your path to success in engineering.

Dr. Asha Parekh
Biography:
Asha Parekh completed her BESc and MEng in the Department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering and completed her PhD in August 2015 in the Biomedical Engineering Graduate Program at Western University. Parekh’s research interests lie in the field of biomaterials and medical devices.
After completing the Medical Innovation Fellowship program at Western, in 2017 she founded Front Line Medical Technologies Inc., a company that provides front line personnel with the best available tools to help patients survive emergency situations. Currently, Dr. Parekh is the CEO of Front Line Medical and she is responsible for the execution of the company’s strategic vision and mission.
