The Big Game: Hunting for Reliable Access to Advanced and Secure Electronics (IEEE-USA Livestream Panel Discussion)
Recent headlines exposing automotive electronic shortages that impact production have highlighted escalating U.S. electronic supply chain issues and the reliance on foreign design and manufacturing for key components. This dependency creates a vulnerability in the availability of advanced and measurably secure electronics components for U.S. critical infrastructure needs. The growing concern has been closely monitored by various public, private, non-profit organizations and think tanks, and has resulted in efforts to create innovative solutions to address this issue. In this panel discussion, the IEEE-USA will discuss the FY2021 National Defense Appropriations Act’s directive to protect access to advanced microelectronics that powers the 4th industrial revolution. Join us to gain insight from industry leaders into the solutions that will protect our access to measurably secure electronics needed to provide critical capabilities.
