Biography:

Dr. Ritu Malhotra is an electrical engineer whose career has encompassed roles including technical specialist, project management and corporate leadership.  Ritu has worked with March Consulting Associates Inc. for nine years in progressively senior positions culminating in her current role as President since 2018.   Previously, Ritu worked with Magna Electric Corporation as a Design Engineer progressing into the role of Engineering Manager.  She holds a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, and a Doctorate of Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan.   Her technical expertise is focused in the areas of power distribution systems, protective relay and control systems and she has led numerous engineering projects for Saskatchewan’s mining and power generation sectors, including serving as the electrical/instrumentation principal for the K+S Legacy mine project. 

 

Ritu is an active volunteer who contributes to our community and the engineering profession. Dr. Malhotra serves on the University of Saskatchewan Board of Governors where she currently chairs the Land and Facilities’ Committee and is a member of the Governance & Executive committee.  She is also on the Board of Directors of the Saskatchewan Industrial & Mining Suppliers Association (SIMSA) and Chairs the SIMSA Governance Committee.  Her additional past voluntary roles include serving on the Women in Mining/Women in Nuclear Saskatchewan Scholarship Committee, IEEE – North Saskatchewan Section Executive and serving as a Womentor in the Betty-Ann Heggie Womentorship Program.
