Date: Tuesday June 17, 2014 Place: Dartmouth Conference Room, 1 Apple Hill Dr, Natick, MA 01760 Time: 9:00 A.M - 3:00 P.M. Subject: Workshop: Control System Design with MATLAB and Simulink Dear IEEE ComSoc Members of the Worcester County Section, At this complimentary workshop, you will learn how to design and tune control systems ranging from simple PID controllers to complex control architectures to satisfy multiple design requirements. You will use the tools first hand. You will also have an opportunity to interact with MathWorks control design experts. Learn how to: (1) Create plant models from input/output test data and automatically tune PID controllers using these models; (2) Define control architectures in Simulink, ranging from simpler SISO PID controllers to more advanced multi-loop and multivariable controllers; (3) Automatically tune all controller parameters simultaneously to meet design requirements; (4) Model uncertainty to quantify the robustness of your control laws. Who Should Attend: This workshop is designed primarily for control system engineers who are familiar with MATLAB and Simulink.
