Bio: Jane founded Vectors Angel in 2019 to enable collaboration between like-minded impact-focused companies and investors. Among the verticals that Vectors Angel invested in include new mobility, sustainable energy, sustainable materials and healthcare. Jane's experiences include investment manager with Goldwind Innovation Capital, cleantech researcher at Lawrence Berkeley Lab, entrepreneurship program manager at UC Berkeley CITRIS Foundry, and President of the Energy Innovation Network. She holds an M.S. from Cornell University on Sustainable Design Studies and a BAS.c on Energy System Engineering from the University of Toronto.

Abstract: In this presentation, Jane will talk about many of the common challenges for deep tech startups including fund-raising and go-to-market, and how they can be overcome. She will leverage her broad range of experiences to present how to transverse the valley of death which is common for many deep tech companies.
