Faculty of Engineering & Computing Sciences Teerthanker Mahaveer University was bubbling with religious fervor and enthusiasm on the occasion of Basant Panchami, a festival celebrated to mark the beginning of spring and Holi Seasons. The entire ambience was filled with joyousness. The faculty and the students arrived dressed in glowing shades of yellow, which is the traditional colour of Spring and associated with Goddess Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge, wisdom, arts, aesthetics, literature, music, and sciences in Indian culture who is equivalent to nine muses that were considered source of inspiration in Greek and Roman cultures. As far Indian Culture is concerned, Sarswati is revered for inspiration to do well in the all aforesaid spheres.Each and every educational institute with education celebrates Sarswati Pooja on Basant Panchami.
Prof.R.K.Dwivedi,Director & Principal FoECS paid floral obeisance to the idol of goddess Saraswati. The spring of joy took over when a prayer ceremony worshipping Goddess Saraswati was led by offerings of spring flowers by faculty and students of the college along with distribution of Prasad amongst all.
Beautiful pieces of Art related to Basant Panchmi were decorated on the boards which were adding more grace to the celebration. Furthermore, a floral rangoli with yellow and orange coloured flowers reflected the brilliance of nature and the vibrancy of life.
The celebration filled the day with positive and spiritsual vibes.
