Designing and Optimizing Antennas

Optimize Your Antenna Design & Performance with Ansys Electromagnetic Simulation

Description

Join us as we partner with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) to highlight electromagnetic (EM) simulation and its impact in antenna design and platform integration. During this presentation we will also provide a high-overview of the methodology used for the analysis, design, and optimization of modern antenna designs and electromagnetic compatibility.

We will specifically touch on Ansys HFSS which excels at a wide variety of high frequency, full-wave, electromagnetic applications including, but not limited to, antenna design and placement. Additionally, we will explain how Ansys SIWave helps you model, simulate and validate high-speed channels and complete power delivery systems typical in modern high-performance electronics.

Presentation topics include:
• Ansys HFSS overview
• Common simulations/applications
• Solvers
• Adaptive meshing
• Mesh fusion
• Antenna element design
• Installed performance
• Multiphysics link capability
• Software demonstration

Speaker:   Dianne Musso   SimuTech Group, Inc.

Dianne’s focus at SimuTech Group is on modeling electronic system designs for heat transfer and fluid flow simulations using ANSYS Icepak software, in both technical support and consulting applications. Prior to joining SimuTech Group, she worked in the aerospace industry, as a design and development engineer for electronic sub-systems within airborne and ground- based infrared products delivered to the United States Armed Forces. Dianne performed many tasks in this role, including heat transfer and structural analysis using both numerical and finite element methods.
