Biography:
Enrico Maria Carlini has over nearly three decades of experience spanning from engineering to system development and system operation activities. He has developed remarkable expertise in core components for power system, including rotating electrical machines, power transformers and reactors, transmission equipment, insulated cables, overhead lines, HVDC systems and power electronics, energy storage.
Alongside with his position in Terna, he plays several active roles in the key organizations of the energy community, among which: IEC, IEAWind, ENTSO-E, CIGRE, CEI and AEIT.
Notably, from October 2019 he covers the charge of president of CORESO, the Regional Security Coordination initiative based in Brussels providing to Transmission System Operators of Western Europe key services as set out in EU Regulation on Electricity Transmission System Operation.
