National Innovation and Start-up Policy
An online workshop was organized by Faculty of Engineering on 22/12/2020 under the aegis of Institution Innovation Council (An initiative of MHRD’s Innovation cell, Govt. of India). Dr Pankaj Goswami, Associate Professor, Faculty of Engineering, TMU was the distinguished speaker of the session. Faculty and students of BSc, MSc and BTech from various departments participated in the event online through zoom meeting. Ms Sakshi Singh welcomed all the participants. Prof (Dr) R K Dwivedi, Principal FoE&CS, highlighted the importance of the workshop and said that in India there is immense potential available for innovation and entrepreneurship. He further stated that people in India have proved their worth all across the world by their hard work, but now the need of the hour is to transform the young generation from job seekers to entrepreneurs. Ms Sakshi Singh introduced the keynote speaker to the audience.
In his talk Dr. Pankaj Goswami said that the institute is actively looking for ARIIA ranking, which is basically based on innovations and start-ups carried out within the institutes. The Ministry of HRD Innovation cell is working aggressively to promote start-ups, innovation and entrepreneurship within the higher education institutes. In this direction we all are required to promote small start-ups under the national innovation and start a policy framework. The University is adopting NISP framework and encouraging young talents to come up with new ideas to nurture entrepreneurial activity.
