Python Workshop on Computer Vision and Deep Learning

The Winnipeg IEEE Young Professionals will be holding a workshop on Python for Computer Vision and Deep Learning, as a virtual/online-only event, on May 27th, 2021 @ 6:00 pm Canada Central Time. This talk is by Andrew Fisher, a Ph.D. student at Saint Mary's University and a Research Assistant in the DaTALab, Lakehead University.

Biography:
Andrew Fisher obtained his BSc in Computer Science from Brandon University in 2019, and his MSc with a specialization in artificial intelligence from Lakehead University in 2020. His work has been funded by SSHRC, Mitacs, and the NOAMA. Presently, he is working towards a Ph.D. at Saint Mary’s University with an industry partner in the construction field and is a research assistant in the DaTALab at Lakehead University. The focus of his current work involves computer vision and deep learning applications for the partner’s production line.
