Here the Robot Operating System ROS comes in. IEEE Robotics and Automation Society University of Rajshahi Student Branch Chapter in association with IEEE University of Rajshahi Student Branch is going to arrange a virtual session on ‘Introductory session on Robot Operating System (ROS)’.

If you are interested in robotics, you might have heard the name ROS.

So what is ROS?

ROS stands for Robot Operating System, despite its name, is not an operating system. ROS is more of a middleware, something like a low-level ‘framework’ based on existing operating system. It is a set of software libraries and tools that help you build robot applications. From drivers to state-of-the-art algorithms, and with powerful developer tools, ROS has what you need for your next robotics project. And most importantly it’s all open source.
