19th Annual Embedded Systems Workshop 2021 (part 2 of a two day online event)

The 19th Annual Workshop on Embedded Systems will be held again Virtually/Online this year. Registration is required. Open to engineers and students. You are encouraged to join the IEEE, although membership is not required, however IEEE membership is encouraged to realize the maximum potential.  NOTE: This is the second half of the event (Part 1 was on October 23rd). There is a one-time non-refundable fee to attend and to help cover costs: $5 for all.

Email us for any follow up:  esw2021@ieee-sem.org

In 2020 some of the Embedded System Workshop Sponsors were: Beningo Embedded Group, Infineon, NVIDIA, ARM, iSYSTEM, Intrepid CS, Altair, DataSwing LLC, DigiKey, IEEE SEM Computer Society Chapter, IEEE SEM Education Society Chapter, Teknowledge LLC and Oakland University School of Engineering

The aim is to disseminate knowledge, directly benefiting the IEEE members, at the same time improve the technology skills pool, indirectly boosting the Michigan economy. Speakers and experts from the embedded systems industry will be making presentations, and will also be available for discussions and networking throughout the day. In addition to the technical presentations, use this opportunity for networking with other engineers, industry experts and embedded enthusiasts. The theme for this year is: "Role of Embedded Systems in Electric Vehicles (EV)".

Embedded Systems are playing an important role in the Electric Vehicle revolution. Electric vehicles now include cars, transit buses, trucks of all sizes, and even big-rig tractor trailers that are at least partially powered by electricity. Electric vehicles fall into three main categories: Battery electric vehicles are powered by electricity stored in a battery pack. Plug-in hybrids combine a gasoline or diesel engine with an electric motor and large rechargeable battery. Fuel cell vehicles split electrons from hydrogen molecules to produce electricity to run the motor.  Electric vehicles are saving the climate and our lives. Electric vehicles have a smaller carbon footprint than gasoline-powered cars, no matter where your electricity comes from. Electric vehicles can charge up at home, at work, while you’re at the store.

See the Agenda for the Schedule of Events (updated frequently). NOTE: {The registration will send you a calendar invite for October 30th. Also remember to register with your full US Postal address, so we can send you workshop swag PLUS in case you win any door prizes! Sorry no overseas delivery is possible at this time, due to US customs overhead.}
