Two Days online webinar entitled “Understanding AutoCAD for beginner” was organized by FACULTY OF ENGINEERING & COMPUTING SCIENCES.TMU, Moradabad. In this webinar, various important things, from important command to sketching and 3D modelling were described in detail. In this 2-Days Webinar, training was giving by Mr. Ambrish Gupta, Senior Engineer, CADD Centre, Bareilly

After completing this webinar the student will be qualified to:

  • Evaluate mechanical designs and select the proper process and materials for production.
  • Create 2D and 3D computer drawings and models for manufacturing and prototyping.
  • Evaluate computer aided design models and assemblies based on critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Collaborate with people of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
  • Develop a solution through group work.
  • Communicate and present ideas and solutions to design problems.
  • Principal of CCSIT Prof. R.K. Dwivedi gave a wonderful speech and motivated the student for organizing such a wonderful Webinar. He told that this area is very much in demand like image processing & digital processing. He appreciated the webinar for providing a learning platform to the students. He asked the students to utilise this lockdown duration to acquire more information & increase their knowledge. He thanked  the designing committee for publishing quarterly magazine ‘Computing Vision’ for the institution with the support of students. He thanked the animation team for the great work they are doing since last 5 years. He appreciated the fact that many of our students doing job in designing industry, and few students are also working in Bollywood industry.   
    His speech was highly appreciable and he blessed the team to continue the good job.

Advanced technique of the AutoCAD software

On the first day of the program, the brief description of the AutoCAD software and its important sketching commands and functions like Line, Circle and Rectangle etc. was given and different ways to draft each of them was also taught. Two different methods were drafting in absolute coordinates as well as in relative coordinates. After that the command to modify the sketches, commands like; Mirror, trim, Expand, Break etc. were taught. These commands are very useful to draft complicated 2D sketches

On the second day, Mr. Gupta taught how to draft  more assignments by using more useful and complicated commands. He also displayed how to draft the 3d modelling and commands like EXTRUDE, PRESSPULL, LOFT etc. and gave few assignments to the participants for   practice. There were many more tutorials on how to change planes on a 3d model by changing the position of UCS
