The Faculty of Engineering and Computing Sciences, Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad provided an opportunity for its teachers and students to learn while sitting at home in the difficult situation of the global pandemic COVID-19. For this, a one day webinar on the subject "Artificial Intelligence & Data Science" was organized on 22nd July, 2020 under the joint aegis of IEEE-Uttar Pradesh section of the College and CSI-Noida.
This online webinar was launched by Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Raghuvir Singh, Director & Principal, FoE&CS, Prof (Dr) R K Dwivedi, Head of the Department Dr. Ashendra Kumar Saxena, Webinar Partner Cetpa Infotech, and the Coordinator of this online webinar were Mrs Swati Vishnoi and Mr. Ankur Sisodia. 400 teachers, researchers and students from all over the country participated in the Webinar.
Prof. Raghuvir Singh, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, in his address gave a brief introduction of Artificial Intelligence & Data Science. He explained how we can use Artificial Intelligence & Data science in our daily life and how it would be beneficial to us in near future. He welcomed all the keynote speakers, participants, and congratulated all the coordinators and conveyed his best wishes for the success of the webinar.
In the first session, Prof (Dr) R K Dwivedi, Director & Principal, FoE&CS, thanked Hon’ble Vice Chancellor for his enlightening words and addressed all the participants and organizers. In this webinar, he also contributed as a Keynote Speaker and briefed about the Data Science. He gave a detailed knowledge of data science and explained how we can use data science in various algorithms, processes, scientific methods, he explained how data science is related to data mining, deep learning, and big Data. He told that data science is a combination of different technologies and facts of mathematics, statistics, computer science, domain knowledge and information science were explained. He also informed about future job prospects in relation to data science, in which he highlighted job opportunities like data engineer, data analyst, data consultant, and data architect.
Subsequently, he explained the various programming languages used in data science such as Python, R, Julia and also explained how we use various frameworks of data science such as Tensor Flow, Apache, Hadoop and various platforms such as Metalab, Anaconda, RapidMiner etc. can be used. He further explained how we can connect academics and industry with the help of data science. In his address, he also gave information about the running courses and specialties of Teerthanker Mahaveer University.During the second session, Mr. Rahul Pathak, Keynote speaker of Cetpa, who is an expert in Artificial Intelligence, started his session with addressing the participants and sharing his knowledge of Artificial Intelligence. He explained in detail, the technical techniques like natural language processing, machine learning, deep learning, predictive modeling and pattern recognition to the participants and specifically highlighted their differences. He also gave detailed information about how we can use Artificial Intelligence in business applications. He informed the participants about how we can use Artificial Intelligence to handle the data of a company and how to use this data to help in the decision making of the company. He used many case studies to explain these facts to the participants. He then described the practical use of Artificial Intelligence, in which he used Python programming to identify how COVID-19 can be identified with the help of Artificial Intelligence. For this, he used X-ray of COVID-19 patient to find out whether he is positive or negative.
At the end of the Webinar, both the coordinators Mrs. Swati Vishnoi and Mr. Ankur Sisodia thanked the esteemed guests, keynote speakers, HoD Dr. Ashendra Kumar Saxena, participants, and the supporting partner Cetpa Infotech. Mr. Ankur Sisodia informed that after the successful completion of the online webinar, all the participants will be given certificates.

Prof. (Dr.) Rakesh Kumar Dwivedi is presently
working in Teerthanker Mahaveer University,
Moradabad, India as Principal of College of Computing
Sciences and Information Technology. He received his
PhD degree in soft computing from the Indian Institute of
Technology (IIT), Roorkee in 2014. He is having more than 23 Years of
experience in teaching as well as in research. He is the author of more than
30 journal papers. His current research interests include Soft Computing,
Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Software Project Development.
