Two days webinar on “Industrial Attributes & Role of IoT during COVID 19” was organized by the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering on 8th and 9th June, 2020. More than 150 participants from academics, industries and students registered for the Webinar. The webinar was oriented to deal with the role of Internet of Things (IoT) based devices during this pandemic situation to deal in common utilities at various offices and public places.
The webinar was convened by Dr. Pankaj Kumar Goswami, Associate Professor, ECE Department FOE&CS.

In this growth of digitalization, the Internet has fundamentally changed the vision of society, but at the same time, the greatest transformation actually still lies ahead of us. Several new technologies are now converging in a way that means the Internet is on the brink of a substantial expansion as objects large and small get connected and assume their own web identity. IoT (Internet of Things) is an advanced automation and analytics system which exploits networking, sensing, big data, and artificial intelligence technology to deliver complete systems for a product or service. These systems allow greater transparency, control, and performance when applied to any industry or system. IoT systems have applications across industries through their unique flexibility and ability to be suitable in any environment. They enhance data collection, automation, operations, and much more through smart devices and powerful enabling technology. Hence a two days webinar on “Industrial Attributes & Role of IoT during COVID 19” was organized.
Prof. Raghuveer Singh, Off. Vice Chancellor, TMU opened the insights of modern technologies and suggested the incorporation of these technologies in to general education practice. During his talk he discussed various technological attributes. Prof. (Dr.) R. K. Dwivedi at the inaugural ceremony of the webinar addressed the importance of the networking field and how the field of IoT has new future career aspects. In addition, the learning experience of networking skills will help students in their technical and research projects.
