CYBER SECURITY CHALLENGES IN ONLINE DIGITAL CLASSES DURING COVID-19 


A Webinar on the Topic: CYBER SECURITY CHALLENGES IN ONLINE DIGITAL CLASSES DURING COVID-19” was organized by FOECS, TMU Moradabad on 27th May 2020 for the faculty members of FOECS, TMU & rest part of the country & abroad. More than 725 faculty members from the Country & abroad have attended the webinar on goto online app. 

Prof. Raghuvir Singh, officiating VC TMU has given the welcome address in the webinar and has welcomed to all the participants faculty members research scholars & resource person. He has also emphasized on the need & importance of cyber security post COVID-19. He has also said that faculty members of FOECS have done excellent efforts in online teaching post COVID-19 lock down.

 

Prof. (Dr.) R K Dwivedi, Principal & Director FOECS, TMU has addressed the inaugural session of the webinar. He has spoken on the topic: E–Governance Law’s, Investigation and Ethics. He has said that E-Governance is nothing but the use of  information and communications technologies by governments to enhance the range and quality of  information and services provided to citizens,  businesses, civil society organizations, and other government agencies in an efficient, cost-effective  and convenient manner, making government  processes more transparent and accountable and  strengthening democracy

Prof. Raj Agarwal Director AIMS-CME New Delhi has addressed the webinar participants and has talked about the issues faced by the management students in post COVID-19 lock down. He has said that COVID-19 has given opportunity to students to study at their own pace time & speed. It has given opportunity to explore the vast knowledge available in the digital domain. He has said that Government should come forward to help the management students in learning & understanding the management concepts in past COVID-19 lockdown.

 

Prof. (Dr.) DP Kothari (Key Note speaker) Ex Director IIT Delhi & EX VC VIT Vellore Chennai has enriched the participants with his deep knowledge & rich experience. He has talked about energy issues involved in online digital classes and has also talked about various energy models which can be used to meet the emerging demand of users in post COVID-19 lockdown.

 

Dr. Subodh Kesharwani Associate Prof School of Management IGNOU New Delhi has talked about the ERP and its use in online digital classes. He has said the IGNOU has vast collection of e-content & it is provided to the students by using Gyan Darhsan channel of the University. He has also talked about various education models & emphasized their use in online digital classes in past COVID-19 lockdown.

 

Mr. Anuj Agarwal Cyber Security advisor Govt. of India has talked about the Cyber Security & its dimensions in protecting the citizens from cyber fraud. He has elaborated various aspects of Indian IT Act 2000 in details & their application in facing the emerging challenges in the area of Cyber Security in post COVID-19 lockdown period. He has also shared his knowledge about the cyber forensic, cyber forensic logs and their use in detecting cyber crime in post COVID-19 lockdown period.

 

Mr. Alok Agrawal, Advisor IMS Noida and Ex VP Polar industries has talked about the economy conditions in post COVID-19 lock down. He has said that various rating agencies have predicted that Indian economy will grow very slow in coming times & even it may go to negative in post COVID-19 lockdown. He has stressed that government should take steps to improve the economy and protect the jobs of people which may face uncertainty because of worsening conditions of Indian economy in post COVID-19 lockdown & its implications on youth employment in India.

 

Prof. Dr. Rajendra Singh has addressed the audience in the webinar. He has focused upon the CSR responsibility of the Institutions. He has said that all the Institutions must do the needful contribution in CSR responsibility to uplift the life standard of the people of the country so that every one gets food and home in post COVID-19 lockdown.

 

Prof. (Dr.) RC Tripathi, Professor, FOECS, TMU & convener of the webinar has given vote of thanks in the webinar organized by FOECS, TMU on 27th May 2020. The webinar was a grand success and was attended by more than 725 faculty members from rest of the country & all faculty members FOECS TMU. Prof. (Dr.) SK Kak Chief Guest has given his chief guest address in the webinar. He has said that we have to maintain physical distance instead of social distance as said by Television & print media in post COVID-19 period. He has also stressed the need of involvement of Governments in telecast of academic content directly to the students by using satellites & radio channels. He has also talked about government regulatory framework issued by UGC, AICTE, MHRD, NAAC & NBA other Government organization about the about the online digital classes, its importance & need in post COVID-19 period.

Prof. S.K. Kak has been appointed as founder Vice- Chancellor of Mahamaya Technical University, Noida. He was born on April 18, 1947 at Srinagar, Kashmir, J&K State. He holds a B.Sc in Electrical Engineering and M.Tech in Microwave Engineering from IT BHU, Varanasi. He received the degree of Ph.D in Digital Communication from BHU Varanasi in 1985. Prior to his current appointment as the VC, Mahamaya Technical University, Noida in 2010, he was Professor, Electronics, Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University since 1985 and Vice-Chancellor  of  Chaudhary  Charan  Singh  University, Meerut,   UP   from   2008.   He   has   over   40   years   ofexperience in research (Communication Engineering, Communication Systems, Optical and Fibre Optic Communication, Data Networks, Signal Processing and AI Engineering & Expert Systems). Prof. Yogendra Narain IAS (Retd.) (Guest of Honor) has addressed the webinar and has explained the role of e-toll booths in preventing crime in the country. He has also stressed about the network issues faced by students of hilly areas in online digital classes. He has also said that Government should provide internet connectivity & infrastructure to boost the online digital classes, so that the students can learn without interrupt in past COVID-19 lockdown.

Yogendra Narain is a 1965 batch retired Indian Administrative Service officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre. He is a former Secretary-General of Rajya Sabha. He also served as the Defence Secretary of India, Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh, Surface Transport Secretary of India.

He is the Ex Vice Chancellor of Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University (HNBGU) situated in Pauri Garhwal district of Uttrakhand. From 2007 to 2017, he was serving as Director at Reliance Power and Reliance Infrastructure
