Electrical Engineering department, FOECS has organized one-day workshop on Industrial Internet of things (IIOT) for upcoming technocrats in association with Educational Industrial Training and Solution(EDITS) on 03/02/2020. Director and principal, FOE & CS Prof. Rakesh Kumar Dwivedi, has taken initiative to explore the bridge between industry and academia in industry 4.0 revolution. The work shop has been coordinated by admiring move of Dr. Garima Goswami, HOD, EE department to industry academia interconnect. The organization of this valuable workshop elicited the team efforts of Dr Pankaj Kumar Goswami, Mr. Pradeep kumar Verma, Dr. Mudita Juneja, Ms. Sakshi Singh and Akshat jain and Tripti jain, EE and ECE students.
In the workshop Mr. Saugat dutta and Mr. Dilip kumar Tiwari, senior advisors, IIOT at EDITS, explained the student about new tools to interface their academic projects to internet world for remote access. They also helped students to learn about the different arduino modules and their processing in network of things. Students got new and innovative ideas which will help them in upcoming event i.e. Smart India Hackathon. Theoretical session has been conducted in the morning hours and practical sessions in the afternoon.
This workshop has provided the students to students an initiative thinking towards the implementation aspects of big challenges through small project modules. The workshop came to an end with a questionnaire round, a group photo session and National Anthem.

Mr. Dutta discussed the information management system about Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT). Mr. Tiwari discussed to the students that Internet of Things (IOT) has its application in industries that prefers automation, energy efficient systems, smart devices etc. Even reports state that more than 50 Billion devices will be connected with IOT by 2020. But learning IOT is not very simple, as the system works on complex procedures and modules
