About Allison Transmission:
Allison has historically been a transmission provider in the commercial vehicle industry.  However, with the growth of electrification platforms, Allison is growing its technologies to address the needs of their OEM customers and end using fleets.  This presentation will focus on electrification platforms being developed by Allison.

Todd Bradford - Vice President, Business Development Todd Bradford - Vice President, Business Development of Allison Transmission, Inc.

Biography:

Todd started his career as a private practice attorney focusing his practice on a variety of complex business matters, including mergers and acquisitions, management of international operations, corporate governance, risk management, regulatory compliance and antitrust law.  Todd spent time at both Ice Miller LLP and Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP.  Todd joined Allison Transmission in 2011 where he focused on Allison’s international and domestic business activities and commercial sales relationships. In 2014, Todd was promoted to Managing Director, Deputy General Counsel where he assumed responsibility for overseeing the global legal services provided to Allison in support of its operational needs, such as commercial contracts, merger and acquisition activity and human resources.  In 2017, Todd was promoted to Executive Director.  In 2018, Todd took the position of Vice President, Business Development.  In this role, Todd is responsible for overseeing the development of opportunities for Allison to leverage the value of its business platform and to improve operating and financial performance.  Todd holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and information systems from Illinois State University, graduating Summa Cum Laude and with University Honors. Todd graduated Cum Laude from Loyola University School of Law in Chicago. In 2010 and 2011, Todd was named by Law & Politics Magazine as a Rising Star in corporate legal matters and mergers and acquisitions. In both 2014 and 2015, Todd was the recipient of Junior Achievements Indy’s Best and Brightest Award, which identifies the Top 100 professionals in Indianapolis under the age of 40.

Mike Foster – Executive Director, Chief Technology Officer Mike Foster – Executive Director, Chief Technology Officer of Allison Transmission, Inc.

Biography:

Mike began his career at Allison Transmission Division of General Motors in 1992 as a summer intern in the Product Engineering Organization.  Following graduation in 1994, he joined Allison Transmission performing multiple engineering roles on both conventional and hybrid products.  In 2007, Mike joined the GM Powertrain Hybrid Engineering team, serving the role of group technical lead for the Hydraulics and Electro-Mechanical Component group.  In 2013, he returned to Allison Transmission as a Senior Staff Engineer in the IVT/CVT architecture group.  In 2014, he assumed the role of Manager, Advanced Engineering, responsible for new product design for Allison Transmission.  In 2016, he was named Director, New and Emerging Product Engineering.  In 2017, Allison named Mike Chief Technology Officer and Executive Director of Innovation Research and Development.  Mike holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.  In addition, Mike holds 70 U.S. Patents across multiple aspects of commercial and passenger vehicle propulsion.  In 2019, The Indiana Business Journal honored Mike as finalist for "CTO of the Year".
