One day Seminar on Research Pedagogy has been organized on 17/2/2020 under the Institutional Innovation Council of the Faculty of Engineering and Computing Science. The seminar was inaugurated by Prof. RK Diwedi Director, Dr. Garima Goswami Head Electrical, Dr. Pankaj Goswami, Dr. Mudita Juneja Head EC and Prof. Bidyut Chatterjee lighting the lamp in front of Maa Saraswati.
During the program, Dr. Pankaj Goswami informed about the need of research to adapt and adopt according to the present day. needed. He told that today's researcher should speed up the work with the relevance and strategic intent of the research. He also stressed theory and honesty during research. At the same time, his written research work should also be published in UGC, Scopus's Journals. Dr. Goswami gave information about Patents, Copyrights and Trademarks and explained how we can patent or copyright our small inventions and research works under Intellectual Property Right.
Dr. Garima Goswami said that a good research paper covers many topics such as critical, creative and thinking. There can be many types of research papers such as research paper, review paper, short communication, opinion etc. Research paper contains the details of the research work done by the researcher on a particular subject. A good research paper needs to have segments like Introduction, Material and Methods, Results, Discussion and Abstracts, Conclusions, References. In the beginning, write the research paper in easy language and whatever research paper you read, note the reference only while including it in the research paper. Write your research paper in your own words, never copy paste any paper.
At the last stop of the seminar, Dr. Mudita Juneja explained the similarities between research and research papers. In his statement she told how we can draft our research a good research paper, as well as he highlighted the writing of good manuscript and motivated the students to write research paper. at the end, she thanked everyone.
During the program, the college director said that such seminars inspire faculty and students to pursue research along with education. So that students can benefit from it. The purpose of the seminar is to equip students with various methods and contradictions of research method.
More than 150 students of the Faculty of Engineering attended the said seminar. Ms. Sakshi Singh, Mr. Pradeep kumar Verma, Mr. Rahul Bishnoi, Mr. Neeraj Kaushik etc. were present
on this event. The workshop was conducted by Rahul Jain (EE 2nd year) and Trupti Jain (EC 2nd year).

Regarding writing concepts of research articles, specifics of research and plans to be prepared for the research and in different subjects to the participants present during the research pedagogy session by Prof. Dedicated Director Faculty of Engineering and Computing Science as the keynote speaker at the seminar. Explained in detail the research to be done and the methods to be adopted for them. He advised the students that they should first find the research gap. After this, to give a new direction to research through literature review
Biography:
Prof. (Dr.) Rakesh Kumar Dwivedi is presently
working in Teerthanker Mahaveer University,
Moradabad, India as Principal of College of Computing
Sciences and Information Technology. He received his
PhD degree in soft computing from the Indian Institute of
Technology (IIT), Roorkee in 2014. He is having more than 23 Years of
experience in teaching as well as in research. He is the author of more than
30 journal papers. His current research interests include Soft Computing,
Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Software Project Development.
