National Youth Day
The Faculty of Engineering & Computing Sciences (FOECS), Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad celebrated the 157th (12th January, 2020) Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda on 14th January, 2020. The celebration was started to lit the lamp before the portrait of Swami Vivekananda by Prof. Rakesh Kumar Dwivedi, Director & Principal, FOECS. On this occasion, Prof. Rakesh Kumar Dwivedi highlighted the life and thoughts of Swami Vivekananda in his speech. He delineated that Swami Ji is the eternal source of inspiration for the youth that is why his birth anniversary is celebrated as the Youth Day. He also depicted that Swami Vivekananda represented India in the world religious assembly of Chicago, America in 1893. A good number of scholars and thinkers were influenced with the marvellous and charismatic thoughts of Swami Ji. Swami Vivekananda lived in America for three years and educating the people of America with the tenets of Indian Vedanta philosophy. Prof. Dwivedi also motivated the gathering to implement the thoughts and experiences of Swami Vivekananda in the field of education. On this occasion, all the faculty and staff members of FOECS constituted the gathering.

Biography:
Prof. (Dr.) Rakesh Kumar Dwivedi is presently
working in Teerthanker Mahaveer University,
Moradabad, India as Principal of College of Computing
Sciences and Information Technology. He received his
PhD degree in soft computing from the Indian Institute of
Technology (IIT), Roorkee in 2014. He is having more than 22 Years of
experience in teaching as well as in research. He is the author of more than
30 journal papers. His current research interests include Soft Computing,
Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Software Project Development.
