The demands for faster wireless access and lower latency are continuously increasing. To meet these demands and to drive new use cases, regulatory bodies around the world open up the spectrum in the 6 GHz band for unlicensed use. This new spectrum allows the Wi-Fi 6 standard, IEEE 802.11ax, to unfold its full power. It will also pave the way for the successful deployment of the next evolutionary step: Wi-Fi 7. In this webinar, the speaker will elaborate on the technology and regulatory status of Wi-Fi 6E as well as discussion about test challenges and demonstrate new test solutions which fit Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 testing. In addition to this, the webinar will provide you with an early overview on the upcoming Wi-Fi 7 standard, IEEE 802.11be.

Biography:
Jörg Köpp is a Market Segment Manager responsible for driving T&M business in the wireless connectivity market at Rohde & Schwarz, with a focus on technologies such as UWB, Bluetooth®, and Wi-Fi. Jörg has extensive experience in the telecommunications industry and is well known as a speaker, and host of webinars and the video series Let’s talk IoT. Prior to joining Rohde & Schwarz, he worked as a System Architect, Project Leader, and Director of System Engineering and Technology Manager at Siemens and Nokia Siemens Networks. He also had the pleasure of running one of the first Wi-Fi field trials in Germany 20 years ago.

Biography:
Hagen Heggenberger is a Product Manager for wireless communications testers at Rohde & Schwarz. In this role, he focuses on test and measurement solutions for wireless connectivity terminals. Before joining Rohde & Schwarz in 2005, Hagen had spent more than 8 years with ENEA, a Swedish software company. He has a thorough knowledge of the embedded software business, primarily in embedded operating systems for the mobile communications, mobile infrastructure, and automotive industries. Hagen holds a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Rostock, Germany.
