Greeting from the School of Multidisciplinary Studies
REVA University IEEE EMBS Student Chapter, IEEE ComSoc Student Chapter, and School of Multidisciplinary Studies in association with IEEE EMBS and IEEE ComSoc Bangalore Chapter in partnership with IEEE Student Branch REVA University organized an Expert talk on “Sanskrit and technology” on 16th March 2021. It was an online event conducted through Microsoft Teams. More than 30 participants from B.Tech and faculty members attended the session.
Session: 10:00 AM to 11:30 PM
The expert talk started with basics of Sanskrit and continued with how the technology started acquiring the knowledge of Sanskrit. The speaker presented well on the topic “Sanskrit and Technology”. The key points covered in the session are listed below:
- The origin of Sanskrit Language
- The evolution of different languages
- Six different schools of knowledge in Sanskrit
- Prominent Sanskrit Scholars and their contribution in different fields of Science and humanities
- The requirement of modern technology in capturing and decrypting the ancient Manuscripts

Sachin Bhat received bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Anjuman Engineering College in 2009 and a master’s degree in Digital electronica and communication from NMAMIT, Nitte, India. and Ph.D. degree in Deep Learning for the thesis titled “Design and implementation of deep learning technique for the character recognition of Kannada epigraphs” from REVA University, Bengaluru (2020). He is currently working as an Associate Professor and Head in Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of technology and Management, Udupi, Karnataka since October 2020 to till date. He is also Worked as Software Engineer in Clavator Infosol, Bengaluru from June 2011 to July 2013. His research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Cognitive Sciences, Machine Learning. He had submitted 25 journals and 30 conferences, which include both national and international. He is a National Champion in ISRO-IITB-AICTE MAPATHON-2021 and also recognized as an International distinguished young researcher award 2020 by Green Thinkers Society. |
