Prof. R. K. Dwivedi, Principal, CCSIT, addressed the participants about the startups and the business model develop for them in order to establish a profitable venture. He said that students of technical college may not be well versed with business but they are very much familiar about modeling and use of canvas. He welcomed the resource person to enlighten all the participants with his rich knowledge and precious experience.

Dr. Gupta began his address by explaining the concept behind each word of the workshop by bifurcating it. He discussed about the various business models with examples followed by different enterprises, start-ups, NGO’s etc. He said that the objective of business model is not only to earn profits but also to create the wealth for the business; its stakeholders and society enlarge. He discussed about the various components of the model that helps to create an effective and reliable business strategies. He also described the canvas and how it could be used for developing and planning of business models. By a demonstration, he created a business model using the business model canvas and using common parameters for a business and following a specific guideline. He also said that different organizations uses this modelling canvas differently but maintain the common parameters in it. Finally in question answer session he satisfactorily resolved the various queries raised by the participants.
