MARGDARSHAN SESSION - I
Margdarshan, a platform for opportunity identification while making a self-discovery for building an entrepreneurial mindset. Margdarshan was established with the idea to create magnificent startup ideas. It was an online event in which prominent speakers came to guide us in springing a startup.
"The expert in anything was once a beginner" here is the thought. The IEEE Student Branch BIT Deoghar had a magnificent session with Mr. Sougata Basu on the inaugural session of Margdarshan held on 17th July 2021. Mr. Basu is the Founder of CashRich and an Engineer from the Birla Institute of Technology Mesra. The Speaker of the session presented the keynote address on Startups. He initiated his discussion with the topic, how to become an entrepreneur. Mr. Basu shared some notable points associated with time management for springing a startup in college breaks. He projected a clear understanding of the importance of learning and earning from the startup. He discussed different challenges faced by him and gave important tips to handle the challenge as a freshman. More than a hundred enthusiastic participants had participated in the session. The session ended with a round of discussion on the audience queries. It was a very informative session that helped everyone imbibe knowledge about springing a startup.

Sougata Basu is a fintech entrepreneur and has developed an investment app called CashRich. Prior to CashRich, he managed Rs. 12,000 crore of investments for the Tata Steel Group at Bombay House. He has also managed portfolios of ultra-high-net-worth individuals as an Investment Consultant with UBS in Boston. Mr. Basu is an Engineer from the Birla Institute of Technology (BIT), MESRA, India. He has attended the MS-MBA dual degree program at the Boston University School of Management, USA, where he received three prestigious scholarships. The dual degree comprised an MBA in Finance and an MS in Information Systems. He is also a CFA Charterholder from CFA Institute, USA.CashRich (www.cashrich.com) is a venture funded startup with nearly 150,000 users. The company was selected by the Government of Maharashtra as one of the top innovative fintech startups and awarded a financial grant. CashRich was started with a vision to provide high-quality wealth management services using a convenient Android and iPhone app. The CashRich app provides a simple and intuitive user interface but has powerful algorithms running in the background. CashRich app provides personalised options based on the user's profile and financial goals.
Agenda
We believe, today is the right time for Indian Entrepreneurs to show leadership and build their enterprises that are ready to stand strong in the future. For this, we must willing to confront old assumptions, embrace newly processed, open up for change and, then step to Startup. To enable and creative entrepreneurs.
It was an exposure to a new way of doing things and the right planning.
