IEEE GRSS Hyderabad Chapter presents 3-day Summer School on “ Artificial Intelligence in Remote Sensing Applications” from 21-23 October 2021 (Virtual Mode) In Collaboration with IEEE SBs of Muffakham Jah College of Engineering and Technology, Hyderabad and Geetanjali College of Engineering and Technology, Hyderabad.

About the event:

Remote sensing is the acquisition of information from a distance, NASA observes Earth and other planetary bodies via remote sensors on satellites and aircraft, that detect and record reflected or emitted energy. Remote sensor, which provides a global perspective and a wealth of data about Earth systems, enabling data-informed decision making based on the current and future state of our planet. Remote sensing of the environment by geographers is usually done with the help of mechanical devices known as remote sensors. With time, the latest research and collected data have become Big Data. Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning handle the challenges to analyze Big and voluminous data. The strengths of these methods include the capacity to handle data of high dimensionality. Machine learning algorithms have successfully been used for remote sensing applications for decades. The field of Artificial Intelligence has made rapid progress in recent years, matching human ability or in some cases, even surpassing human accuracy at tasks such as computer vision, natural language processing and machine translation.

This school is the perfect venue to network with students and young professionals, as well as senior researchers and professors who are world-renowned leaders in the field of remote sensing and work on interdisciplinary research.
